I met this really wierd geezer from Ebay once who came to collect something from me… he looked like Terry Nutkins but every feature of him was exaggerated.

It was so so hard to keep a straight face

Mine have just shared a mouse, poor thing. My neighbour who despises cats will not be happy as its lifeless little body is laying at her back door!

Oh well… I dont like her too much anyway.

Well from my point of view.

My accountants are telling me inflation is running at about 12%, not the 5% government figure.

I have seen 7 “new build projects” cancelled this month and our sub business of kitchens and bathrooms has seen a down turn.

I have employment agent offering me staff at reduced rates

For the first time in many years I am being forced to sack “sub contractors” , mainly carpenters and tilers at the end of this month.

I never liked doing kitchen, bathroom and new build work anyway, I do remember the last recession and the way people cut each others throats for work. I think that’s why we only used a mix of agentcie staff and sub contractors for these projects.

Most of us did see this recession coming, most of us have been worried about the collapse of the housing market for the last 5 years and acted accordantly.

We are in a recession, we have been for the last 3 months.

    what about mobile phones though?

Ive not met anyone from here, although Cordy (who no longer comes on here) lives just across the field from me and we are still to bump into each other… she has met Dave’s cousin though, it is a small world!

We did take a chance a while back and met up with two guys from Myspace and we got on great and they are still friends, so I believe these things can work, but you have to use a lot of trust and obviously common sense, you hear so often about things not being quite what they seem! It was funny, we were going to London and I said to Dave before by the way we’re meeting some mates lol Im lucky he is a chilled out dude.
