ive neve yet met a medium who has said ” ive got this old guy here, wants to talk to you, no, in fact, he wants to talk to you all….. he says his name is…errrr GOD??!!!!”
Spiritualists do not believe in God as a rule, although some do. But you are not ruled out by fellow spiritualists if you do not.

19 September, 2006 at 10:51 pm #242041And as far as I am aware, everybody, no matter where they are from, what their beliefs are allowed to visit the vatican city and be welcomed there.
Im not Catholic, nor am I religious, but I think the whole thing was really blown out of the context of the whole speech he was making. He said what the rest of the non muslim world was thinking.
19 September, 2006 at 10:49 pm #242040I thought he was wrong to apologise.
We must be the only nation on earth not to retaliate when we are slated!!! Somebody said in the Sun today… why cant the Muslin community take criticism?
The catholic church handled it okay when people like Dave Allen and Father Ted were around doing their stuff, they probably laughed at it!
There is one religion that has no sense of humour and because of that, comediens and even world leaders wont go there either, so we leave it to the Pope to tread where others feer to and look what happens!!
(these are words from a Sun colomist a bit mixed up to make it how I would say it just before anybody tries to cane me, I just happen to agree with them)
freedom of speech and expression are my beliefs, and I will fight to protect them.

im sure we will all be here when you come back, I know you will feel up to it soon hun, dont let him get too you, better he has gone now than a few years down the line when you may have had a house, kids, debts, etc.
look at it as a new beginning for you. I know it may not feel like that right now, ive been there before (as have most girlies my age lol!!) and it hurts like crazy, but it will get better and you will feel better about it soon, I promise.

Matty you seem very sure of the fact that there is no heaven or afterlife, may I ask how you know this as a fact?
I personally don’t believe in God, I think the whole idea is absurd but I understand that some people need to cling on to the belief that there is something higher who they can turn to in times of need and I understand that. But at the same time no-one can say there is no afterlife, you may not believe it but its one of those thing’s we will never know exists until we die. I’d like to think there is some alternate world where you will see you’re loved ones once you die, its an idealist place and you’re probably right in saying that it doesn’t exist but there’s no way to prove it.
Nor can you prove if there is a god or not, how can you begin to think of afterlife when you believe the idea of God as absurd? Surely believing in god advocates that there is another life beyond this one on earth? You contradict yourself.
I don’t contradict myself, there are many different people who believe in an afterlife of some sort but not a god figure. I never said the afterlife was “heaven” and I personally don’t believe in god but I understand people do and respect that. Like I said there may be nothing after we die but who knows.
Matty I understand what you are saying, but there is certain phenomenon that even scientists can’t explain away as nonsense. Each person has their own viewpoint on the whole idea and no-one can say whats right or wrong as we don’t know the answers
You are the one that said the idea of God is absurd, how can that be absurd if afterlife isn’t?
Peeved:
If you are a Spiritualist you believe in an afterlife, not religion
If you are Religious you believe in a God.So they dont necessarily follow on, what I mean is you do not have to be religious to be a spiritualist.
edited as i put it in the wrong place
19 September, 2006 at 9:38 pm #241784we were good Drivel, I got my PM from Arsene Wenger today and he said so too  !
No that was our BEST win over United in a long time, a six pointer for us more important than any other before.
we would have been dead and buried without that win. we may well still be but im far too optimistic for that.
dont forget we had many players missing and really really needed a win, so psychologically that could be the game that put us on the road to the title race this season (and I reckon Chelsea are gonna get a huge walloping soon btw…. they need one, and it might wake up Mr Lampard lol!!) :D
