but you do add a great bit of evidence too my point though. people do all sorts of things to comfort themselves…. i know a few people who drink way way way too much (more than me so it must be alot!!) but as their physical appearance does not really alter too much they are not pointed at, not singled out and not criticised. more often than not they get a wink and a laugh and an elbow nudge as if too say well done lol!!

its just really not fair in its entirity this thread as its going on a books cover rather than the book!!!

i have a dislike of frizzy ginger hair…. its just a personal thing. i wouldnt want to push that opinion on others cos it is just mine.

i dont think a bigot is the same as homeophobic.

i have a few gay friends (male and female) and two lesbian cousins (not with each other!) and a gay nephew. i love them all too bits.

i dont mind people who have a dislike of gays. i hate people who want to kill them mind you. its a personal opinion.

i dont like bigots and i think we all know who bigots are lol!! (the opposite of people who preach in their favour, who i dont like equally as much!)

let us all make our own choices about who we like and dont like, and on an individual basis.

slimmer people over-eat too, which is simmilar to a point i made ages ago on this thread. just because they dont look unhealthy they dont get the same criticism! i weigh a healthy weight and am lucky to have stayed the same size i was when i was 18 before having children. but i can eat loads of junk, smoke and drink too much but because i dont look like a fat unhealthy person i dont get looked down on. my diet is my problem and so is theirs!

just because you dont like the appearance of somebody because it LOOKs like they MUST over-eat you cannot have an all out attack on people of a large appearance.

whats more of a threat to my health:

a fat person or a terrorist……
a fat person or a mad prime minister
a fat person or a mad american prime minister

arent there more interesting and life threatening (on a wider scale lol) topics we could be discussing that may not hurt individuals as much as this thread does?

as for some of those statements by token male: cant talk about rape….. im sure you know more overweight people than you know rape victims… do you tell them they are fat?

or are all your friends/family thin and healthy? or do you point out to them at each opportunity what you feel about them huh?

i found your post bullyish, patronising and personal and nasty against whom is one of the most passive, friendly and nicest and most of all HONEST people on JC (which is more than can be said for some) :twisted: i wonder if thats why you made the comments you made….. would you have made the same comments had her post been made by one of the big strong male members of JC?

i have to totally agree with you on this one emma, i think he has finally lost the plot!! i too saw the report and was totally alarmed at what he said. he thinks we all live in tellytubby land!!
