The Liam Neeson flick? Unusually for these things, I believe, it was actually mighty Caledonia that featured. Lots of similar productions are filmed in bog-trotting Ireland. A cruel twist indeed.
I know… I only found out whilst googling the rob roy locations that braveheart was filmed in Ireland.
What I also thought was great was that apart from only two actors, the crew and cast in rob roy were all Scots… nice to hear.
We watched it the other night, and whilst it was a simple plot, and very easy to follow, I spent most of the time scenery watching… some very beautiful locations, and not worlds away either.
