This is a long weekend’s leave and is when most recruits choose to go home and catch up with friends and family. You also usually get a period of leave after your Passing Out Parade. After about six weeks, recruits can usually go out and socialise in the evenings outside the camp. During Phase 2 training you will also be given leave, the length of which depends on each establishment. Once you’ve completed your training, you’ll enjoy 30 working days (six weeks) of paid leave per year. Working hours are typically 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday with your evenings and weekends free.
