Sadly Tommy your quite right. Over 20 years since the first Live Aid, and what,s changed? Nothing…absolutly nothing. We can carry on giving money and food to these countries until the cows come home, but it won,t make a blind bit of difference. One thing they need to teach these third world countries is birth control.
The money just goes to the local authorities, Bat, who spend it on AK47s and train the local village kids how to shoot eachother because of silly little tribal disputes.
If the money and aid does go straight directly to the people, the local authorities only come along and steal it anyway!
Chucking money at them doesn’t work. What we need to do is show a strong military presence there, and personally make sure the aid goes to the people, and stays with the people!
