have you tried another site that needs java to see if it happens on that too ?
i have ie9 by the way and it works fine in jc but on another site I use it closes down the browser until i disable the sites shoutbox . It also wont work with Tescos site for me for some reason but I am able to get access to them all without a problem with firefox so its a mystery.
