A wonderful journey!
A wonderful journey!

I just want to take a quick moment to wish all of you a very Merry Christmas and my very best wishes for 2016.

For those who don't know, I live on the West Coast of the United States these days but I have flown back to the UK with my wife and daughter to spend time with the family for Christmas.

It was a long, exhausting trip that involved plane rides, train rides and automobile rides - but it was well worth it.

I hope each and every one of you has a great Christmas and a happy, healthy and prosperous New Year.

Thank you for using Just Chat.

Two years ago today i recieved the worst kinda phone call any parent can get telling me my daughter was in a car crash as a passenger not one of the drivers i may add, so i jumped in the car and i was there at the accident within minutes of it happening i had to arrive at the scene not knowing if my daughter was alive or dead i had to witness them spending nearly 3 hours cutting the poor man and my daughter out of what can only be described as carnage, i had to witness a man dying in front of me, while they were still trying to cut my daughter free, how anyone escaped that scene alive is a miracle my heart goes out the the poor family who have lost someone i very nearly lost my daughter, i didnt thankfully she lived, but i lost the daughter i had before that night the daughter i have now isnt the same, i spent the last two years watching her try to recover from her serious injurys, and try to rebuild her life and come to terms with the events that happened that night. there is a lot more that i could say but i wont. ,Both drivers are now serving nine years in prison and baned from driving for ten years. i just want to say a masive thanks to my sister for for all she did for me that night and following days, to the rest of my family for the help and support over the last 2 years, and a massive thnx to Minney My oldest friend from just chat, i loves ya ((MOO)) you have given so much more than you could ever know your words and support have been a life saver at times, i have made a true friend in you so i have just chat to thank for that so thank you Martin for the site and to all the friends who have been there for us as well thanks.
So be grateful that you can be with the ones you love and celebrate Christmas together. Hope you all have a very Merry Christmas if you are lucky enough to be sat with your family and friends enjoying the festivity’s give them an extra hug and kiss and spare a thought for those sat without someone here that should be and for what ever reason ie they are out working keeping everyone else safe or they are stuck in hospital or they have sadly lost there life, raise a glass to absent friends and family, stay safe everyone and enjoy the day
To anyone traveling on the roads over Christmas please dont have drink/ drugs and drive, or speed and drive im quite sure your family would rather have you home safe and sound than not at all

The strength it takes seems superhuman, just to rise for another day – blessings that you have your daughter with you. I understand completely how close it can get, having just lost a brother, sister and fiancee. Life can be so confusing and painful, it’s hard to see the purpose of such pain. Sounds like your friends are helping a great deal, that’s a relief to know.
Don’t waste a second thinking about the drivers who caused this, the law has seen to them and besides you have a daughter to cherish. I envy you! If I could get my loved ones back …. but such is life.
Yes, we should stay with family and friends at the end of another year to be grateful we can. You have my good wishes and blessings from the States.
