    I leave behind, a past that’s dead,
    No memories to hold onto, all gone from my head,
    A past that left dark cloud’s at time’s, a past I’m glad to leave behind.

    Now time has moved on, a new future is born, new surrounding’s I’m in, a new life i begin,
    New memories to form, a marriage is born, a new life that i have, no need to look back.

    New love in my life, very soon to be my wife,
    A new future is here, bringing joy, happiness & cheer.

    But I wrote this a while back & posted it on a poetry web site that I’m also a member of, since writing this, we have now married but just wanted to show off some of my past work.
