    Hi,

I have been bought a black knee length puffer-style coat for Xmas, perfect for the weather we’re having at the moment. However, I’ve never seen another guy wearing one of that length before, so if I wear it, am I going to stand out like a sore thumb?

I often tend to dress for the weather, rather than for fashion. What do you all think – wear it or e-bay it?

Welcome to the boards Puggy …happy posting

The coat sounds awful  Ebay it failing that burn it!! Then depending on how close the relative or friend was that got you it, think of a good story as to why you don’t wear it.

    Hello puggy and welcome

Need some additional information to help you decide about the coat

    How tall are you?
    What shape are you?
    What age are you?
Who bought you the coat and was it expensive?

Take it to a charity shop ….. I’m sure someone would be grateful for it.

I’ll try and get a pic taken of it at the weekend!

An aunt of mine bought it, not sure how much it cost though. It’s well stuffed with down. She’s the sort of aunt who knits you horrible itchy heavy jumpers and cardigans.

Went to visit her today, and had to wear the coat out of politeness. Its extremely warm.

She was pleased and thought I suited it. Its very warm and being just below knee length, ideal for winter walks and going to work. Its just that I’ve never seen a mens long down-filled coat before.

When I visited her yesterday, I came away with a really heavy purple cardigan which she has knitted for me, which will take some getting used to. It’s got those big horrible old-fashioned plastic buttons on it. Think that one will go to the back of the wardrobe
