Rooney is definitely past his best, but the treatment he is getting from ‘fans’ is awful. He has been a great ambassador for his country. How fickle we become, so quickly.

He’d be an over-priced (and over-paid) benchwarmer. Although since we tend to buy in proven strikers who turn out to do nothing, maybe buying in a past-his-prime striker would transform him into a sensation?!
