    my kid went on holiday with his cousins in august. he met a girlfriend from newcastle. my daughter says after 2 days he had a newky accent. :D

    I flick from English to Essex most days, and everybodies used to it now. Though when I work with someone for the first time and they hear me speak to my mum and dad they are normally a bit gob-smacked.

    Its a respek thing.

    When I was in Australia for 3 months I found myself adopting there droney twang, on my return to the UK I was accused of being Australian many times, this went on for quite a while. :lol: :oops:

    My mom got some workmen in to do her garden and the cheeky so and so’s asked me this morning what part of Scotland you from love????

    I said Merthyr effing Tydfil love, same as you!

    I so dont have a Scottish accent :( I still sound Welsh to me :?
