I’ve just come home from town where i almost had a run in with the law of a different sort.

I was turning right in the outside lane of a roundabout, which incidentally the road markings and signs tell you that you can, when a copper who was inside of me decided he wanted to go straight on and he drove right across the front of me,i had to jam the brakes on to avoid hitting him and the cop in the passenger seat sat looking at me with a big smile on his face……i’m now starting to wish i had accelerated instead of braking and “advanced” the foooka into the crash barrier,i didn’t get one apoplogy and they just drove off.

Right that’s that off me chest and rant over.

    AAAAAAAARRRRRRGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

    Cas

Thats cos theres one rule for them and a whole other different one for the rest of us

You can pretty much guarantee that had the situation been reversed and it was you who’d cut them up! you no doubt would have been stopped and given a lecture on careless driving

The police driver obviously was wrong as the advice, nay the RULE, is that where the roundabout is wide enough to permit 2 lanes, drivers going straight on should NOT try to ‘straighten out’ the roundabout by cutting across to the middle unless the roundabout is clear. Most police drivers round this way seem good, but even the best drivers make mistakes sometimes – this was a bad mistake.
