Maffa you ever fired a gun? Not an air or pop but a real gun/rifle? Theres places where you can hire a shotgun and they teach you how to shot clays.Try it and tell me if you got the buzz of trying to win.By the way last time i was clay shooting i hit 43 out of 50,but never wanted to shot a person !!!

    Somer1,

I have both. Gun better for me. Rifle uncomfortable, too long, little heavier, aim off.

Used bullet targets people and bullseyes targets. No clay.

Yep u right it is a rush of adrelaine. Thrill of hitting target…

However short only of a few points to get final license at the time, hunters were shooting people by accident in woods not recognizing those in orange vest thinking fall leaves.

Stricked conditions. Bullet counts, and if gun stolen consequences of theft. You held responsible.

I decided not worth risk, or mistake of judgment then…

Understand your point. Today society however as said before, shoot before think…..

Scary..I rather have structure, army, police in heavy populated areas. South midwest different. More open space, big difference.

    Xxx

its not like that on our shoots Linda. If its a pheasant shoot here and you fire at a rabbit your off the shoot and on the last day of the season those with guns become the beaters for the beaters with guns and we get a better days return of game !!!

I’m not interested in guns, I find it strange anyone can derive pleasure from killing an animal like pheasants etc- seems quite sadistic enjoy inflicting pain as a sport. Clay pigeon shooting is harmless enough but keep guns under lock and key, not people just wandering in off the streets with them

a dude I know from Dundee was working over in Texas,, he shared a taxi with his workmate and another couple.. HE  began to be suss at the sexual nature of the conversation, so asked to be moved from the cab.. he chapped a door to ask the occupants to call him a cab, and they shot him dead.and UNDER American LAW.. THIS was legitimate..

So you’ve  never been on a pheasant shoot and you dislike the killing for the table ? Pheasants shoots rear 1000s of birds every year which about half are never shot and will go on to breed in the countryside keeping the numbers up.
