One of my best memories from the boards comes from when I innocently started a new thread wondering what would happen if an apple was put in the microwave – way back in 2006.
Little did I know someone would rise to the occasion and be a guinea pig for Just Chat’s amusement. Not only did ‘Jenny..’ step up to the plate, she microwaved an apple in her back garden with the use of an extension cord – much to her neighbour’s amusement (or disgust).
Having determined the effect of microwave power on an apple, she then moved onto other fruits. Next was an orange. Next was a plum. Then it all went quiet.
12 hours later, ‘Jenny..’ returned – microwaving the next fruit (a banana) was a bad idea. Turns out, it blew the door off the microwave, blew the fuses in her house and resulted in her neighbours calling the police.
