I don’t understand why the mother (although I use the term mother loosely in her case :roll: ) isn’t being prosecuted along with these two animals!!! She’s guilty of neglect if nothing else!! She admits to having noticed bruising on her child but chose to do nothing about it! She left him in their care for 3 days without visiting again despite seeing this bruising! and she thinks the only thing she’s guilty of is being naive!! shame on her! shame on those pair of human scum for what they did to him. Every day there are reports of child abuse of one kind or another. And each time one gets reported, there are the same kind of outraged and indignant outpourings.
I feel that our society is crumbling at its edges… the old, the weak and the vulnerable are the first victims of a society that is in decline. Societies that are stretched to breaking point fail the very people that they should be protecting.
Our social service infrastructure is unravelling. Too many problems, not enough people to deal with them. And it will get worse. Much worse.
