1 May, 2005 at 10:57 am #549ANGELS….. Angels watch each and every step we take
There are around to guide us if we make a mistake
Some are real close and in our everyday life
Those of us that are lucky make them our wifeI do not have an angel to call my own just yet
But surely one day she’ll profess ‘we just met’
Until such times I will keep writing poems and rhymes
Don’t ask where they come from they are just my linesSometimes funny and occasionally sometimes sad
Never done in anger and ‘hey’ you know I’m a lil mad!
Like ships on an ocean they glide along the pages
Some take no time at all and some take bloody agesIt’s all humour to me and a way to express a feeling
Never meant to shock or send your body reeling
Someday’s I cant write a single useful or meaning word
Might as well go sit in a tree and crap like a birdSo influential are words that we sometimes see
And some of the times I write with meaning to me!
However they are only darker patches on your screen
And only ever sent to friends ‘present’ not ones that have been1 May, 2005 at 10:58 am #110461Lovers! We all have one of these somewhere in our heart
Doesn’t matter if you live together or miles apart
We do cherish a call- text or a warm thought shared
The romance of something done that was naughty &‘dared’Sunrays would be streaming through sun kissed curtains
The starry gaze in to each other’s eyes is a ‘certain’
We would give anything we owned to share their pain and grief
When they’re down we try to guide them through any dis-beliefNever Take anything like love in vain or for granted
It will go tits up…pear-shaped and worse still slanted!
Stay on the level…be straight- honest…happy and true
Then one day your lover shall appear and forever love you1 May, 2005 at 11:02 am #110462WORK!

It’s all BBQ’s short sleeved shirts and plenty beer
Cooked chicken legs in a spicy marinade
Sparkle of the cutting shiny knife bladeDrink flows and the fulfilled faces glow
Good laughter and chat from friends we know
Till bellies are filled we eat away and drink
Who cares about the drifting smoke and stink? As evening comes the laughter progresses
Odd drinks get spilt and no-one worries about messes
Chatter and laughter turns to howling roars
As the cold encroaches guests creep back indoorsAnd till the food and drink has all but gone
And the moonlight is where the sun once shone
We all say goodnight and go to our homes
All that’s left are empty tins, bottles, and those chicken bones1 May, 2005 at 11:04 am #110464Very nice Dibb’s, even if you have me crying first thing in the morning lol.
They really are lovely poems, and they touched my heart.1 May, 2005 at 11:05 am #110465Dedicated to a special friend…….. There is a woman I know not far from Anglesey
We met on the net and she’s crazy like me
We have spoken about allsorts from private to not
And really I type but don’t say to her an awful lotOneday we’re going to have a coffee al fresco
I’ll stick on a shirt and look my honourable besto
Were going to put it all to ‘world rights’
Laugh – joke and generally talk shite! No one will escape our mindless blasts
Be it in the future or in both our pasts
We’ll peck them to pieces and dishevel them all
And if it’s a bloke he might not leave with his ballsAnd if it’s a lady I will smile and say nowt
As from you no doubt a drop kick or a clout
It’s long over due this cuppa coffee you owe me
Still nothing like your friendship my friend Cherie1 May, 2005 at 11:06 am #110466Cherry red, marina blue, yellow pansies wriggle in amongst trees
natures gift is but to send this on a sweet smelling breeze
branches rustle leaves change colour year on in at some wooded glades
all this is natural and to the eye doth please ‘natures charades’heather clad valleys do send conjuring thoughts to the mind
red deer do tend to their young in a manner so outwardly kind
it is in life but to notice natural ways of this all showing
all laid to rest at the days end by the sun just gently glowingdays darken nights get longer for half of our every year
it means that as time passes older we grow ‘just a little older ‘dear!
times precious hold it close to hand – mind – and heart
because without this wonderfull gift we would not even a day start.1 May, 2005 at 11:07 am #110467Fridays
Another week has passed us by
Minutes and seconds past us do fly
We’ll never see these dates & Times ever again
And by no means is the future seen as plainWe push on through and face anew each time
Do we really have perspective of occurrences after nine?
Trees silhouette the violet coloured sky
Stars sparkle in night air as if to say “Hi”Darker the night grows as later and later it gets
We all settle down, loved ones, friends and pets
As we sleep nature takes the world in hand
And cares for our earth as it always demandsSo much happens as we rest sleep and dream
And none of it really do we ever say “I’ve seen’
It’s silent and peaceful and happens each day
It’s what happens on earth and in each wave washed bayAnd after the darkness without fail the sun rises
Brings us new days and heart-warming suprises
It’s there everyday of our lives we should see
It’s there for everyone including you and meWhat else could be left for us all to do right?
As all these miracles happen in the middle of the night
Some we shall never ever see – touch…….or hold
So live happy and be with loved ones, as you grow oldBecause our time is just never guaranteed
We all have to face a new day as if a sunflower seed
It grows and looks up whilst the sun shines brightly
And always smiles back at us as each day turns to “nighty”1 May, 2005 at 11:08 am #110468MOTHER’S is the title the rest say’s it all! The joy’s of living caring for others
Is first felt in this world by our dear Mother’s
Without question they care for all
Be you short – wide – or ten feet tallTheir hand will clasp a grazed elbow
And so re–assuringly the pain will just go
Their smiles will warm any cold day
Or just help us up or on our waySo never under estimate a special Mum
They are there instantly if you need um!
Hands help wide they are your bestest friend
Carry their love never just say ‘it’s pretend’Because we all have good days and bad
Mother’s forge on through happy and sad
Once in a while say to them ‘you’re the greatest’
And appreciate they really do know bestSo without more ado I salute your plight
Your endless attempts to get things right
If just left to say ‘thank the lord’ your there!
And for ‘Ever’ for you ‘Dear Mother’ may I care……
