If you have windows XP, maybe even if you aint :D attempt to log off via start. when you do, you will get a choice to either switch user or log off, click log off, when you do, the pc will save settings and go to the windows screen as described above.
That is the screen i get.
24 February, 2007 at 8:02 pm #262132This is what it is supposed to do Emma. When a user logs off then the computer reverts back to the initial ”sign in” screen waiting for the next user to login.

24 February, 2007 at 9:53 pm #262135The simple fact is Geoff, ugo got it spot on, microsoft had put their own user account on my pc, that was the problem.

I think it was on a LAN before, and now its being used has home pc.
Or when you set up the windows sofaware, you ticked a few of the wrong boxs.
All you had to was del user accounts in control panel and tell the computer that there was no need for passwords.
Never buy a second hand computer, there nothing but trouble.
You can buy a new one for less than £300

Wrong, new 2 half years ago.

Unless your a nerd and can stop a dogy one.
