Did they just share the accommodation or was there a bit more to it and they actually shared the bed and bathed together?
Could it be that Mr. Arthur Conon Doyle put those two together because it was his very own fantasy to live with some geezer but couldn’t due to the fact that he lived in a rather repressive society where being a poofter was frowned upon unless you worked in the royal household where it was almost compulsary to be a shirtlifter?5 July, 2008 at 12:44 pm #284964Its all elememtary really.

10 July, 2008 at 7:52 pm #284968I hate and loathe all Bonds – characters and films. Maybe this dates back to the time when big sis made me sit through Dr. No twice at our local Odeon cinema (I lost interest once the kia-ora and jelly babies had run out) and when we got home late that night, the parents had the police out looking for us.
We didn’t half get walloped!
10 July, 2008 at 10:11 pm #284969same as you Esme, Ive tried and tried to watch them, but they dont interest me.
Luckily none of my brood are overly interested in the movies, well not to an extent where they are on all the time, but the PS2 game is really really good and I loved that, eldest got the hump because I wanted to play it more than him!
Id much rather have an old episode of Columbo or Piorot (spl), or whats that old play…
where the detective is the ghost?
(getting de ja vu… think we have discussed this before…)
I can never remember the name
