The compulsive liar that believes the lies

The thoughtful comments from the heart
The image-maker who hones the art

Beware the Knight in shining Armour
The listening ear that understands
The actor that learned his part and plays it out of hand

Beware the kindling that lights the fire
The soothing voice that calms an aching spirit
The silver tongue that lacks the empathy to win it

Beware the lovers knowing caress
The depth of vision that reads an open heart
The predator who casts the brilliantly baited dart

Beware the sensitive soul with a tough and crusty shell
The rock that might be leant on in times of dark despair
The manipulator that in reality is never really there

Beware the hunter with no respect for its prey
The patiently waiting cobra ready to strike
The scorpion king with the cruel sting in its tail

Beware the intensity of the lovers kiss
The exquisite waiting, the promise of the lips
The Judas that betrays with that one final embrace

Beware all the traits that true love should bring
The prophesy of daylight should nurture it to life
The reality of darkness will bring its truth to light
