Ok..just had a young lad come in to buy some condoms…he was looking through the window for ages trying to spot them behind the counter..when he came up to the counter he was bright red  asked for a box of Prima (real cheapo brand, hes obviously a student and couldnt afford durex) fumbled around for his money, then dropped the condoms when trying to put them in his pocket….bless…

The above is a true story and the identity of the purchases has not been disclosed just incase he doesn’t win the bet with his mates

Sooooooo…what are your funny condom buying stories girls and boys

Not a story about buying them (I’ve got no problem going to a counter and asking for a packet of 3 of Mr Durex’s famous water ballons) but close enough.

I was seeing this girl for a while (well, about a week- which at that age was long enough) and I went to meet her from her parents place and she asked me to come in as “she had a present” for me :)
I was expecting a shirt or a book or something.

Imagine my surprise when she handed me a small paper bag full of condoms  , I was a virgin at the time and sex wasn’t really a part of the relationship.. until then

And to keep them hidden from my Mum (I was still living at my parents at the time) I hid them inside a Mr Potato Head.
I think they were more worried about a Potato Head next to my bed and they would have been if it was just a box of condoms.

25 years old, told to come off the pill for a while, and of course my then husband wouldn’t go and buy the condoms (why do so many men leave birth control down to the women?!?!).

Going to our village chemist, looking all around, couldn’t find them so asking behind the counter – quietey as there were children in the shop.

Being taken to a drawer right in the middle of the shop – they weren’t out on display – and having a very strident woman giving a detailed description of each brandname, then asking if I wanted a pack of 3, 6, 12 or 24.

I was absolutely fine with all this until a little boy said to his mum “that lady’s bought the same balloons that you and daddy have for when you have a party, but she’s bought loads, it must be a big party!”

Under 30 I’d have been waiting for the earth to open up and swallow me…… now however I’d have opened the packet and blown a couple up for him…. maybe even the pull one over my head trick.

Hubby once bought some glow in the dark ones as a joke……. came into bedroom in the dark…… Like Darth bliddy Vadar he was….. I was laughing so hard I kind of spolit his moment and his light sabre faded into a small glowing ball
