ive decided this sun to do a car boot again, i love it, only thing is gettin up at 3am to go bleedin a killer… so 2moz im sortin oot my ole shyte n tat and hopefully sum daft sods will buy them….
does anyone do the ole car boots..??
I tend to have the head on…. well id rather sell it for anything than take back hame with us…. i think folks get their pricin wrong as they tend to just rememember what they paid for it oreginaly …. i tend to say rite bought it for say 25…. i tend to put it just under half price…. but what guid crack u get, and what sites u see….
I used to do a few Mary. I made £90 once, but what used to annoy me was as soon as we would pull up and open the boot, you would get people swooping like voulchers and I had a few things stolen like that. Also I was trying to sell a camera once, a good one, I had it priced at £5 and a woman offered me 10p, I told her “its not a bleeding jumble sale luv”! :twisted:
It’s worth doing it though if youve got lots to get rid of, weather is supposed to be good this weekend, you go for it, best of luck and stick to your guns about your prices :wink: :lol:

I have meant to go to one to try and sell baby stuff but never seem to get round to it…..too much faffing about, I usually end up just giving the stuff away to whoever will use it.

lol @ Mrs C ohh first time we did a car boot, i was like hey let us set up will ya, but rumagin away they were, thats normally the traders seein if anything of intrest and ur best sellin time btw…. i was sellin this advance camera this guy forgein as well said * how much * I was sayin £2.50 he said 50p…. my liverpool m8….. says no £2.50 m8… he was like 50p…. this went on for abt a min lol then she blow the gasget and said… * like Lily Savage u canny buy a throw away camera for 50p its £2.50 or eff aff…… inwhich he then parted with money… i would of taken £2 lol but got the wee xtr 50p…
the least money we’ve came away with and thats after payin for the pitch, havin munchies thru-oot the day… £290…. Fruist market there’s money to be made…

as i say the only doon side to doin car boots is the early rise….

me and the missus did a boot sale a couple of weeks back and we made just over 200 quid!!! surprising wat ppl will buy huh lol

used to get up at 4am and trawl through all the major ones in the north-west looking for vinyl…thing is alot of the working djs had the same idea and you had to make sure you got there first or all you would have left is a handful of barry manilow albums!!
you used to have days too…it was weird…you would have days when all you found was barry white albums…and other days when all you could find was earth wind and fire…most bizarre 8)
