Ok now I,m really pissed off. Having sorted out the burner and the cd code, the stupid thing now informs me that it was unable to carry out my request and to select a slower speed. So, here are the speeds avaliable to me.
fastest
40x
32x
16x(i just tried this and it said select a lower speed)
8x
4x
2x
1x
Bearing in mind all that means sod all to me, which speed do I select? I shall end up using up all my blank cd,s. Good job they are only cheap ones. Just for once, WHY cant something bloody work for me. FFS.  :evil:24 May, 2006 at 7:16 pm #220766Your CD writer does not write at 16x. Try 8x.
If you copy 1 hour of music at 2x it takes 30 minutes to copy. :wink:24 May, 2006 at 7:32 pm #220767Cheers Owen, I was hoping you,d reply. I,ll give it a try. btw, sorry Martin for having my siggy too big.
I,m blaming you but on second thoughts, I bet it was old sausage fingers that pinched it. He does sneaky things like that behind ya back when your not looking, tut.
24 May, 2006 at 7:36 pm #220768My CD writer can copy at 52x but I generally use 4x to retain quality.
If you have music that you deem worthy of burning to CD, why use cheap CD’s? :?
25 May, 2006 at 7:02 am #220769Well because I,ve never done this before so if I was gonna make a pigs ear of it I didnt want to waste expensive blank cd,s. Poor Bat.

You should buy a good quality cd-rw – or dvd-rw – it’s worth it in the long run
I would recommend Verbatim – top notch
