Hi
I wonder if any tech people can help me…I dont know about computers nor do i know about dam JPEG being incorrect for uploading pics on a web site. I need to change my pics from JPEG to .jpg.
Anyone got any ideas? I would prefer polite ones only! Sorry to be a spoil sport!
14 September, 2007 at 9:03 pm #287684If the images are saved on your pc and you make a post then click “add image to post” underneath here, it will automatically re-size it to a forum friendly size.
Other than that have you a photobucket account you could upload them to and post from there?
Tried to be as friendly as possible there

14 September, 2007 at 9:41 pm #287686Most photo editing programs will let you save the pic has a jpg file.
All you need to do is hit
START- ALL PROGRAMS- ACCESSEORIES- PAINT
open the pic file you have then
FILE-SAVE FILE HAS and scroll down the list untill you find “jpg” and save it.
Funny but I think there the same file type.
I am sure jpeg and jpg are the same thing.

15 September, 2007 at 12:55 am #287688To confirm the above two posts …. JPEG is a commonly used method of compression for photographic images. (The name JPEG stands for Joint Photographic Experts Group, the name of the committee that created the standard).
Image files that employ JPEG compression are commonly called “JPEG files”. The most common file extension for this format is .jpg so in essence JPEG and .jpg are one and the same.
16 September, 2007 at 6:26 pm #287689hi I thought they were the same and my nasty pc thinks they are the same and wont let me save the pic as .jpg. It gives me the option to save as .JPEG and in brackets .jpg along with some other file names.
However the site i want to join will not allow anything but .jpg! So i cannot scare anyone with my photo.
Thanks for all your help…I will have to find another site!
