But then again my mate makes a cake woth beetroot and its lovely
You really can’t taste the carrots in it, it just makes it nice and moist and very often it has walnuts and mixed spice in it. Funnily enough it should have cream cheese on top laced with a squeeze of orange juice but most people put butter icing flavoured with orange on top!

26 June, 2008 at 9:47 pm #350814I like cheesecake. Not with loads of stuff added on, infact my fave is plain old tesco’s value plain original cheesecake, or homemade.
Love carrot cake too, but without those nuts in, I hate nuts.
26 June, 2008 at 9:49 pm #350815NOOOOO!!!!! Don’t go to the dark side shaz, remember cheesecake bad and carrotcake good
26 June, 2008 at 9:51 pm #350816I refuse catagorically to take sides on a cake thread!
26 June, 2008 at 9:59 pm #350817Bit of a traditionalist when it comes to Cheesecake  .. so the Lemon gig satisfies.
But, being of the uber ponce persuasion, I do confess to relying upon such culinary sensations as Cassata or certain Clafoutis to exhibit resonance upon the Pepper palate 8)
Failing that.. a mint choc ice does the trick :P

27 June, 2008 at 6:39 pm #350820I like cheesecake but rarely eat it. I’ve made my own chesecake once or twice and nice it was too. Cheesecake wrestling would be fun too, depending on the flavour and topping.
