12 December, 2007 at 6:03 pm #295201I think we should remember all those people who will be stuck working over Christmas.
The police and fire crews don’t stop, our hospitals are still open.
Most business will have people standing by in case of trouble.
Last Christmas day, we had 17 call outs for heating, block drains and other a sorted problems.
12 December, 2007 at 6:16 pm #295202And just think of all the people on holiday;- teachers (Christ! how many holidays do they get?) bus drivers (buses never run properly over christmas, and non at all on christmas day.) Then there is all the people who run businesses who either want to or have to close up etc…

I take it you worked on christmas day out of the goodness of your heart in good old fashioned xmas spirit…nothing at all to do with triple time you charged eh?
12 December, 2007 at 8:24 pm #295204I said I would help the homeless this christmas… never got around to it, maybe next year :)
12 December, 2007 at 8:44 pm #295205We have visitors AM but I like them all gone so I can cook. Then we have our Christmas Dinner just the four of us and play some games, watch Great Escape or Narnia or whatever, the boys beat hell out of each other at some point for no reason atall, I have some wine, Dave has beer and falls asleep and then watch Corrie or whatever naff is on in the evening. I love it!!
Fingers crossed Mums got us a Wii so I suppose that will be getting flung all over the place for most of the day.
Oh… and this year we are having lamb cos I hate Turkey and put up with it every year so this year I put my foot down. if Im cooking it I choose it.
