15 November, 2017 at 7:18 pm #1079188I found the “chav” comment mildly amusing, totally different class of course to the working class of the 70s and 80s, when owning a pair of docs was aspirational and a rite of passage into adulthood. Nowadays all classes wear docs and the hipster movement made them trendy again more recently.

16 November, 2017 at 1:20 am #1079222I remember when I was a kid the girls used to wear monkey boots they were always purple,with yellow laces I kn0w a chatter from here who used to wear them obviously I cant say her name that would be crass

20 November, 2017 at 11:10 am #1079666I always hated the brogue style…that curved design that looked like a bow with no string and loads of holes in it. Can’t deny the comfy shoes i wore though.
