I always find it amazing when someone writes a poem about something ordinary, and turns it into something enjoyable to read. You did just that William! :lol:Angelwolf

Thanx so much ,give mine a knock sometime LOL-Love William :oops:23 February, 2006 at 5:33 pm #199192
Ok…write a bad poem and we shall see if I can knock it. William I almost NEVER give unfavorable remarks on poems, the reason is I see the good and beauty in most poems I read. I read some with horrible spelling, and some with no cadence, and some that have no meter….but there’s always something I see that is special and different about the poem.Besides I figure there’s plenty of people who like to pick a poem apart, and say what THEY think needs to be done to improve the poem. I leave that to those kinds of people!

Ah! my friend ,can I ask a boon of you
Would you open the door , for me to get through
You see my friend , my hands are full
The door opens out so you have to pullI’ve never asked much of you before
But I’m asking you now to open the door
Do you think I would stand here static
If the door was automaticI know in the town some doors revolve
Just think of the problems that would solve
But my friend ,I do you implore
Just open for me the PERISHING DOORby William A Edge
Made me chuckle

This is a simple appeal, and it really does come off. I liked it a lot.
Thanks

Thank you for your concern si’an , I was rushed into hospital twice in 2003 and have been on tablets ever since , but I still coach young footballers , the only time I have any problem is if I forget to take a tablet ,so I must conclude they have controlled my problems -Love William :) -
