I didn’t really know Esme but it’s always sad to hear of someone’s passing especially after a long illness.

I cant beleive it, and we never got to make up what was a stupid thing, not on my part. esme was so good to me , knew everything about me and shared a lot with me, im devastated that time didnt allow us to talk just once more. rest in peace esme, some may say it was a freindship that wasnt but i know different , i so so cant believe you have gone……….

A most singular character. Blindingly intelligent, who displayed great integrity in argument, while refreshingly abrasive with no patience for fools.

Can still remember her arguing with mims and pikey over copyright issues on the poetry thread –

Controlled her new site like some dictator of a Bolshoi ballet in her head , which is why I was the first to leave despite many interesting late night chats with her. which was typically apt, funny, and prescient of the woman. Afterwards we fell out over an attack on a friend, yet she would have beaten me to the first apology by a long chalk.

A true original who took her leave of these chat places long ago, but has finally exited, stage left, where scented candles flicker to remind the audience of departed and very interesting lives.
