Hi everyone, this is my first time using these boards. I am about to begin a series of presentations to inmates of a prison I work at on their Employment rights on leaving prison, and as part of the presentation I will be discussing what is meant by a criminal conviction, and how many people have them. I am trying to find out about famous people who have convictions to illustrate how widespread this is, if you know of any people especially public figures and/or politicians who have convictions then I would be extremely grateful if you give me some names.

    Many Thanks.

why should any prisoner have any sort of rights …!!! they do the crime they do the time… they should be banged up 24/7 with nae tv, playstations, gyms, radio’s, etc etc…

the worst is the goverment spend more money on feeding prisoners than they do children at school… where’s the sense in that….!!!

if your lookin for the info ask emmalush her political party are full of people with crimnal convictions…

I agree that in some prisons there are far too many privelleges, but the one right that everybody has is that to work, and stripping people of this just because they have committed a crime is very counter-productive to society, and makes little sense. There are many examples of ex-prisoners who have gone on to become succesful businessmen/ entrepreneaurs/artists/journalists etc., Michael Fraser and John Mcvicar are good examples. I don’t believe that just throwing prisoners out on the streets without giving them the best chances of finding work is very beneficial to us or to them. At the end of the day, I am giving them the info, if they decide to use it or not is up to them, end of story.

I understand it costs £1.86 per day to feed a prisoner, I am not aware of how much it is for school children, feel free to enlighten me.

btw: I am volunteering to do this, no expense to the tax payer is involved.

im sorry but I have zero symphany for any prisoners…. they committed a crime they shouldnt have any human rights….. earn them back from socitiy… work for free,

no we have too many so called do gooders whom feel they should have all these priviliges and rights…. personally Id bring back Hanging…. don’t warrant them with soft time in prison if the offence is taken another life, rape, the paedo BEASTS swing them by the necks….

and to answer your questions some schools only have to spend 37p ahead for each child…!!!

so a common crimnal gets a whooping £1.49 more now where’s the justice in that…

bread and water thats what these folks should get, and if they moan n groan about their Human rights they should of thought of that before they indulenged in a life of Crime…

Why don’t you just do what everybody else would have done and Google it ffs???

Typing “Famous Criminals” into a Google search returns around 1,250,000 results.
