I will never forget (namely due to the fact that the regs in F3 will not let me forget) when I shared my distress in the sad passing of my pet goldfish …… many many, many, many years later I am still called the Fish Murderer (I’m innocent I tell you) and still get alllllll the old fish jokes. For those who were fortunate not to be present the incident goes like this – in summary for ease:

I decide to by a Biorb (posh fish bowl) with a few gold fish, and a nice light to go in my lounge. Unfortunately the silly people in the pet shop (who will remain nameless) sold me several gold fish and live plants all in one go instead of advising me to set the bowl up, wait for the oxygen levels to do something(!) and then add a few fish at a time. So unfortunately all my fish started to die of suffications over a very short length of time (errrr a day, maybe a week or two!) …. well okay i drowned them!

Sooooo, when Lucky Lucy (who unfortunately didnt live up to her name) started to swim upside down gasping a tad, I kindly put her in an empty ice cream box with some water to have a little privacy in her final fishy moments and as not to upset Speedy Sid who was also not looking very happy… I couldnt leave the fish in the ice cream box in the lounge as I had two cats licking their lips so I wisely put the fish and the ice cream box in the microwave so that the cats couldn’t get to her. I was feeling bad enough that I had managed to drown her never mind her been eaten by the cats. I swear on my JC membership badge that I never switched the microwave on!!!!!!

The moral of my story……. JC regs have long long memories and I am tainted for life and will never ever ever live down my most distressing experience of innocently being the killer of 6 little lives who looked up at me to give them a happy long life!

Cod rest their soles (before you lot start)

Hail, hail and thrice hail ( with a few snow storms ) Spartycat 8) Well at last I get to hear the story behind the whole Fish thing. Methinks our fellow JC members could have shown more compassion and support at such a distressing time !!! Shame on them

I’m trying very hard to come up with a fish related pun but this lot beat me to it…. So on that note I’m off to my Perch to get some sleep 8) ( I am so much going to regret that dreadful pun tomorrow ) Well, I’d better sCARPer
