What is the difference in elevation between a hill and a mountain?

Elevation is a social construct, don’t be geophobic.

In my opinion….asking a question is not being phobic…..giving an answer determines how phobic one is….

Some of the country’s highest mountains  are in the North of England in the Lake District of Cumbria. Highest peak being Scafell Pike at 978m (3209 ft) and at least 3 other peaks exceed 3000 feet or 914.4 m.

Interestingly a mountain or top over 300 feet is called a furth or Munro top if it were located in Scotland.
