Was extremely busy yesterday, when a loud knocking was made on the door (knew I had paid my rent and didn’t owe anyone any money, so no need to hide behind the sofa).
I opened the door to find 2 Jehovah Witnesses (why do they always come in twos??)
Being a bit annoyed at being torn away from my important and urgent requirements elsewhere (ironing & cleaning) I simply said …
“Sorry, can’t talk – I have a naked man tied to the headboard with pink fluffy handcuffs that needs my immediate attention”.
They were rendered speechless and left so quickly you could see the dust coming from their heels.
He he – made my day that did xxxx
pmsl bea :D

29 February, 2008 at 1:24 pm #315013One rainy day last year I was visited by a pair of JW’s and because of the inclement weather invited them in. Out of courtesy I showed them into my lounge and bid them to be seated. I asked whether they would like a cup of tea and a slice of cake; both of which they declined. Well I wasn’t going to be put off my elevenses and returned a few minutes later and joined them. Making myself comfortable I asked them what the purpose of their visit was; They both looked at each other quizzically, after a pause the elder spoke “I don’t know we’ve never got this far before”.
I watched them walk down the drive. I haven’t been bothered by them since. -
