If you remember a older post I was getting into boxing, and it was good, but I am now into table tennis, best investment ever. I like this so much more as you work out but are having so much fun you don’t even realise you are working out.

This is my setup (getting rid of the stones to get it paved in that area):

    Hi Shaun,

Great post.  Nice quality table you got there.  I did read that table tennis is actually a great workout, and as soon as I clear my basement of other peoples’ crap, a table tennis set is going in.

I like the stones, but a great point…you don’t want to lose your footing on side-to-side motion, so paved makes perfect sense.

Again, thanks for the great post.👍

Thanks C2L. Yeah it’s great cardio especially when you get good rallies going, and especially in this amazing weather. I have been playing the best of 7 with whoever wants to play, usually get 3-4 good matches in a day, and each game in the sets is first to 21.

It’s not as great a work-out when playing someone not as good as yourself (my sister lol), but a few of my friends give me a good battle, but I still remain unbeaten  :yahoo:

The stones are dangerous, what I did was move them out the way and play on the surface underneath, as the company delivering the slabbing have been delayed, but will be much better after that is done which my neighbour is going to do for me, not too much into DIY stuff.

Getting one in your basement is a great idea, it’s such a fun workout, that table I got was just £220 delivered which considering it will last for years is a good deal, I put it away every day in case it pisses down and gets wet.
