I thought you could be asked in for questioning as many times as is necessary, with them being suspects however you say it in Portuguese.

You start with maybe a suspicion, or maybe something about a suspect’s story that doesn’t quite add up, and then you ask lots of questions …. looking for discrepancies – hoping that the suspect will give contradictory accounts of the events. If you find some you explore them until the ”story” splits wide open.

This has dragged on for way too long already, it needs someone to get a strangle hold on the situation and stop p.ussy footing about, i don’t know all the facts of the case, but havent the parents only been interviewed once?

It seems there is almost a air of being untouchable surrounding them, at this rate i dont see it ever being resolved or anyone being held accountable for whatever has happened.

The Police cant just keep pulling the Parents (or anyone else) in to get interviewed without any evidence or proof. There is no evidence or proof.

I’m no copper and i don’t claim to know Portugals legal system, but you would think being coppers they know what methods to use to get more time with interviews etc.
I personally believe they are guilty as hell, i’m not saying ignore fact’s or lack of them, but usually with gut instinct and human nature as it were, you dont usually go far wrong.
It also seems strange to me the Portuguese Police didnt hold on to the car and refuse to let them take it away.
Many things dont seem to fit with these case, but i guess many of them that you would come to expect as standard practise may not apply to laws in Portugal.

i havent realy been following the maddie story, but i noticed a paper headline yesterday that said the blood in the hire car was maddies ? i dont know if its true, but im afraid as far as im concerned the parents are directly responsible for the tots death [or kidnapping] they became responsible the moment they closed the front door and abandoned 3 babies to go for a boozing session with their mates. ive said it before, and i stick by that. if it were myself or ruby or sharon. [or any user of this board] we would be in jail now. the only reason the mcanns are not being prosecuted is that they whipped up this brilliant smokescreen of desperation and sufering [their own] to cover the fact they literally left their babies alone, rather than pay the hotel sitting service the fifteen or twenty quid it would have cost for someone to look after their children.
the idea of leaving babies alone is ludicrous but these two DOCTORS decided so arrogantly to leave their offspring so they wouldnt have to stay in with them. its shameful and wrong. why arent they in prison like the rest of us would be ? i just dont get it ? even if maddie is still alive they dont deserve to get her back.

    Extremely good points Waspy.

It does raise an interesting question. What if the McCanns were telling the truth and Maddie was actually kidnapped / abducted (which I don’t believe for one moment).

Should the social services allow them to have her back again or should she be taken into care – as would have happened with 99.9% of other parents that abandoned their child / children to go out and have a good time.

I don’t think it’s a JC mission statement at all.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, including you. Reading all the postings which came with the newspaper statement, it seems that popular opinion is that they are guilty, maybe not of murdering her, if she is in fact dead, but they were certainly negligent.

What price are they paying,,,,,,oh!! theyre in talks discussing how much they will get for Maddie the Movie. Despicalbe!!

Isn,t it cas? I can,t look at pictures of that woman without wanting to slap her face. I,ve said it before and I,ll say it again. If I were her, I,d be in a mental hospital by now, not discussing maddie the movie ffs. Lets face it, they won,t need professional actors will they, when they,ve got them two. At the very LEAST, they should have been charged with GROSS negligence and neglect and have their other two children taken away from them. They should also be struck off the medical register. Would you want yourself or your children treated by either of them two?

    This story sickens me, Bat. Especially this part;

They hope a lucrative deal would fund the continuing search for Madeleine amid fears that the £1.2million raised from public donations will run out within months.

Since the mother is the one that killed her !!! I feel sick to the stomach. She is one sick ba stard and needs to be hanged.

    Exactly Bat!

Me neither, the only other person I can think of with such a cold, hard face, was Myra Hindley. The eyes of a person can tell you so much about them.

Lets see shall we,,,,Mrs McCann claims she does her grieving in private. Have we ever seen her with even a hint of a tear, no, more looking perfect, make up perfectly applied, smiling, clutching that small toy belonging to Maddie, well it gives a good effect I spose doesn’t it, if your clutching your daughters cherished toy.

Yes they should be charged with gross negligence, yes they should also be struck off, were this someone elses child they had injured in treatment as doctors, they would be, so why haven’t they.

If this were any other family, joe bloggs, his wife and 2.4 children,,,,,charges would no doubt have been brought, for at least negligence, seems the McCanns are untouchable.

How they can even consider this Maddie the Movie is sickening!!
