We do call it football – I think the point being made was that the majority of english football teams don’t have that many english players and as such shouldn’t be referred to as english teams. You could apply the same logic to teams all over Europe.
It’s the sort of thing that somebody who either has no interest in football or supports a crap diddy team says :lol:
An English football team consists of 11 English people.

Leicester City is not made up of 11 players who are all born in Leicester- Lincoln City does not have 11 players born in Lincoln
Whats the difference? Just cos Arsenal dont have 11 English players doesn’t make them a “none” English team
