Iowa man sacked for demanding prostitute

An employee of Riverside Casino and Golf Resort in Iowa was given his marching orders after getting legless in the casino’s hotel and demanding a strumpet be sent to his room.

Neil Jorgensen, 62, had been given a night’s stay at the hotel as a reward to “mark a year’s employment”, Fox News reports. Having enjoyed a good nosh-up in the hotel restaurant, he retired to his room at about midnight and thereafter “called hotel managers about hiring a prostitute”.

They declined to assist, so Jorgensen called the neighbouring resort to see if they had any ladies of the night knocking about. Hotel employees were duly “sent to Jorgensen’s room to ask him to stop demanding prostitutes”, and were met at the door by the naked solicitor of hussies.

He was sacked the next day, and a judge later denied his claim he’d been dismissed unfairly. Jorgensen told the hearing that his actions “didn’t hurt the casino” and that he’d enjoyed “strong performance reviews”. He fingered the restaurant for plying him with too much booze, admitting: “I was absolutely plowed.”

He added: “The advertisement* is that it’s just like Las Vegas, so I thought I was in Las Vegas.”

Administrative Law Judge Terence Nice also turned down Jorgensen’s claim for unemployment benefits.

I think this is very unfair of the Casino, everyone has the right to a prostitute or 7.
They have infringed on his human rights, this man was clearly in need and they denied him his well being.
