    Did anyone else find the report about Camilla taking Kate Middleton out for lunch and giving her advice on the ups and downs of being a royal bride a bit disturbing?

    Camilla did the same thing with Diana 30 years ago, Diana was wearing the same Sapphire engagement ring and sat demurely accepting the advice of the more experienced woman, unaware of course her experience had been gained with her own fiance!

    I think Kate Middleton being 10 years older may handle things better as she was heard to giggle… “what happens if William doesn’t turn up” still I find the whole deja vu thing a bit creepy.

    I see it from the point you are making Mrs T now that you have pointed it out. When I glanced at the headlines yesterday I thought nothing of it apart from…how nice that they get on and seem to have a relaxed relationship. Tis the present now. Mistakes were made, but there will always be comparisons made for many many years to come in any events that involve Kate Middleton.

    I don’t think it is creepy but am not comfortable with her wearing Diana’s ring coz I am supersticious!

    That said… I was amazed to see royal wedding commemorative mugs on sale in Collectables yesterday… That is surely jumping the gun a tad???

    Mel I have just come back from a trade fair for the gift industry…Kate and William memorabilia and Olymics 2012 memorabilia everywhere! If a gift shop hasn’t got it out by now they’re missing the boat it seems…thank heavens I don’t sell that kind of thing!

    (and don’t mention bloody meercats!)
