That’s right, aren’t we the lucky one’s! We are all going to be treated to a song sung by celebs against knife crime.
Of course the song does have the backing of MP Richard Caborn (who???) and will feature world wide celebs such as, Girls Aloud (how wonderful) former Hollyoaks star Lee Otway (never heard of him) Luke Bailey and Elyes Gabel from Casualty (I don’t know who they are either).
Still once the song is released knife crime will instantly come to an end and we can once again walk the streets tipping our hats to the young ladies as they pass.Where are the royalties of the song actually going to go?
The power of music can make a real difference in some circumstances, but I cant see how this particular case will actually make a difference?
I hope the lyrics aren’t ambiguous!

maybe the royalties could go to schools for metal detectors in the entrances to stop kids taking knives in school, and then some more spent on beat bobbies who have the power, no reason needed to search any person they choose for knives, and when anyone is found with a knife the toughest of sentences given to both kids and adults. And then some more bobby’s walking around and using intelligence to find the gangs and split them up and de arm them all followed by being marched away by the scruff of the neck for some hard labour for a month.

i wish! Sadly those days are gradually getting more and more behind us!
A good idea would be once a child has left school, (not in any education) they have to sign on daily 5 days a week and do volunteer work to earn their dole money for up to a year, if they have been unable to find a job in that time they can do national service or community services for the cost of their dole packet. Or of course find a job, alot of these people mainly youngsters get bored, gangs form and sadly starting from that boredom ppl can actually die.
I know its a bit more complicated than that but it would be a big start, forget the ASBO give em RAF.NAVY. ARMY let them be proud of those instead.£4 a week i got at 16 and gave every penny to my mother
