If you fit enough to work then why shouldn’t you work for your benefits?
Work where? Under whom? For whom?

Why should someone be able to claim more in benefits than what a worker earns each year?
Why the system is geared that way?

Housing benefit, council tax benefit, other benefits can total over £20k pa. And for doing what?
    For being out of work?

What is the alternative? No benefits = homeless = children will suffer = delinquency = crime = prison = private corporations making Billions = Set quotas = unlawful activity to boost profits!

If the banks hadn’t been propped up then they would have failed leaving millions in dire straits with their savings, investments and mortgages.

A run on the banks would have ensued leaving this country up the creak without a paddle.

A run on the banks ? Can you tell me why the banks created such a mess in the first place ? :?

Gaz – if you honestly think ppl should get paid benefits for sitting on their backside then just sums everything that is wrong with this country. The long term unemployed are easily recognisable – they don’t want to work and why should they when they get free money?

Why should the chavvy mother living opposite me get paid £12 000 pa in housing benefit, get another £1300 in council tax benefit and get a shed loads of other benefits just for laying on her back and churning out kid after kid with different fathers? She has never worked and over the course of her kids growing up, she will have taken out in excess of £500k in benefits!

The Fathers of these kids have done a runner and leave the tax payer to pick up the bill.

Stop giving these people benefit and they’ll stop churning out the kids once they realise they will have to work to support them.

Why should my bone idle niece claim benefits for doing bugger all but sleep in bed all day?

There’s lots of long term unemployed who are like that because they are lazy.

It comes to something when you get free money for doing nothing. They’re taking money out the coffers so they should put something in.

I’m sure my bone idle niece and others like her will soon find a job if the alternative is cleaning rivers, railway embankments and public toilets etc.

The benefits system was set up to help those who can’t help themselves – the old, ill, disbaled. Sadly these days, it’s abused by the able bodied bone idle.

The fact is, the vast amount of benefit you talk of is created out of thin air… Virtually every pound created in the DWP accounts for Housing Benefit and Council Tax Benefit, returns back to them…The remainder you will find is handed over to private landlords reaping the rewards from those unfortunate enough to have LOST their home or fail even to register for public housing because there is NONE available…. Who is responsible for the state of public housing in this country ?
Who is responsible for the disgusting house prices now preventing “ordinary “ people gaining a home ? Who is responsible for the collapse of the economy ? Who pays top up benefits to people on minimum wage to keep their head above water ? Who is responsible for failing to eliminate “ child poverty “ in this country ? Etc,etc, ad infinitum……

When you can give me valid answers to all the above, and explain why on earth people who have lost their job, including long term unemployed for NO reason of their own, should do what you say when they have been subjected to all the above and more while the elite class in this country, including the “ poor “ bankers, gorge themselves in the sickening perverted ways they do, and have the audacity to set levels of benefit which they claim is an amount “ the law say’s you need to live on “ …What law would that derive from i wonder ?….You might just convince me to alter my view…. And remember, I said VALID answers !

    Couldn’t agree more!!!
There are jobs available but the unemployed would rather live on benefits than take jobs they feel are demeaning to them!!

I’m no Tory Gaz but I don’t like ppl taking the pish. My chavvy neighbour gets a nice load in state handouts and has done since she got herself pregnant @ the age of 16. I’ve worked it out – she gets about £25k a year or more for doing jack shyte. She doesn’t even bring her kids up properly.

She gets grants for this and grants for that when ppl like me and others on here go to work yet can’t afford half the stuff she’s got.

Tell me if that is right?

Ppl like her you see know that if they get pregnant @ 16 and give birth, they go to the top of the housing list. Within a few weeks thye have a house and then they’re into the benefits system and a nice comfy life.

Take the automatic right to a house away from them and you’ll soon see the pregnancy rate fall. The housing can then be given to families that need it rather than to someone who is playing the system because they have no intention of ever working.

I’m sorry if you don’t know what a run on the banks means – perhaps you might remember large queues gathering outside Northern rock as anxious ppl waited to get their money out before they lost it all.

Yes the bankers are responsible for a lot of the economic problems in this country in the last few years but at the other end you’ve got the bone idle bleeding the benefit system dry.

The Fathers of these kids have done a runner and leave the tax payer to pick up the bill.

    Just fathers?

There’s lots of long term unemployed who are like that because they are lazy.

Is that a fact? Any figures or is it just assumption?

It comes to something when you get free money for doing nothing. They’re taking money out the coffers so they should put something in.

Does there “free” money not return to the “coffers” through their spending?

The benefits system was set up to help those who can’t help themselves – the old, ill, disbaled. Sadly these days, it’s abused by the able bodied bone idle.

So we stop benefits and the unemployed who cannot find work suffer alongside their children?

I’m sorry if you don’t know what a run on the banks means – perhaps you might remember large queues gathering outside Northern rock as anxious ppl waited to get their money out before they lost it all.

Is it not their money to do as they see fit with? Remind me again, why did the bankers create such a mess?

I don’t see any valid answers, just hatred and possibly envy!

Nah – I’m not envious of a bunch of lazy bone idle scroungers. Nor do I hate them. I have a niece who is like it – I feel sorry for her as she sits there and stagnates with nothing worthwhile to occupy and devleop her mind.

And if you bother to read what I have written instead of getting on your high horse you’ll see I said benefits are for those that can’t help themselves, not those that won’t.

Having had the misfortune of doing support work in a Job Centre and for a housing association, I think I’m better placed to know what I’m talking about than you. There is a core of long term unemployed in this country who won’t work and pass that ethos on to their kids who in turn pass it on to theirs.

And a run on the banks if it had been allowed to happen would have brought the country to its knees as one bank after another collapsed.

And as for “free money” – yep! Money given to you for doing jack shyte is free money. My chavvy neighbour and thousands like her have contributed bug ger all but take it and spend it.

As your such a do gooder Gaz – I hope you give all your hard earned cash away to these poor able bodied people who have no intention of working. I’m sure you’re there outside the Job Centre everyday giving away your cash, huh? If not, why not?

    #447388

Still no valid answers I see!

Tell me, when was the last time this country had full employment?

If companies can have the unemployed doing their labour, what do you think will be the result on a national scale, both economically and socially should every company take this route?

If everybody withdraws their cash from the banks tomorrow, what will happen, tell me that, please explain.

When you arrange a mortgage at the bank, do you suppose the figure you borrow to purchase your house is sitting in the vault, and the cashier goes and counts it out ready for you?

Again, why did the bankers create such a mess in the first place? How did they create such a mess in the first place?

Why do you suppose the Government allow wages to remain so low, yet spend billions subsidising benefits to top up these low wages to allow people to scrape by?

It is plain to see your bias against unemployed as opposed to the incessant skulduggery of the upper classes in their tax fiddling, law bending, corporate meddling, expense spending ways, costing this country countless amounts, meanwhile keeping their workforce on as low a wage as possible, yet tipping the scales with profit and bonuses for the hand full of selected elite. Do you think for one instant that people cannot see this going on in front of their very eyes?

When the choice is available for people to separate their human person from the fictitious entity created on their birth date and, be given their freedom to live their life on the land without loss or harm to no other. This will be the day that your words will carry weight. Until that time, people are forced to live in this system, they are forced to contract to keep a roof over their heads, they are forced to contract with private companies for the necessities of life and there is no way for them to withdraw from this WITHIN THE LAW!

Now forget this high horse non-sense and provide some valid answers!

    #447389

no gaz , thats wrong , ppl know how bad the government is but ALSO know that theres idle benefit spongers out there who are working the system and think its their god given right to do so .
