Old mans lap top seems f00ked but il ask
When you start it up you get a grey screen saying f2 bois start up or f8 boot devise
In the boot devise box it says
Floppy
Hard disk
CD-ROM
PXE
Been in the bios set up dont make alot of sence the times right iv changed a few things it will let me like 64 bit and exit and save sort of stuff
Tried the CD to start it up wont run it
Tried f11 for factory setting wont let me do that just wonderd any ideras befor i throw it out

First go back into the bios and make sure its booting from “C” and see if it can detect it.
There could be a few things wrong; you could have “fooked” your hard drive by dropping it or it’s just failed.
It could be a problem with windows; you could have removed the boot up file by mistake.
Try popping in a windows start up disk and then at the flashing “D” stage type in “C:” and see if it can find it.
If it does its easy to fix.
But if your hard drive has gone, you will need a new one and a copy of windows to put on it, (about £200)
I don’t think its worth doing, you can buy a new one for £400

Ok you need to read the screen or hit “help” in there.
Normally its something like hitting the space bar or enter.
Try using the arrows keys.
I have as i said it only lets me get in those iv already mentioned wont let me any where eles iv pressed every button on the key board
I have just check 3 laptops and most of them are the same, you use the arrow keys to navigate the screens (←↑→↓)
Right I need to know the following,
What kind of computer you have ( who made it, what model number and so on)
Can you see the name of the bois maker?
