An absolutely unbelieveable tense semi-final, Mark Selby was 0-2 down and 14-16 (first to 17) down and won the last 3 frames to not only get to his first ever final, it was the first time in his life he’d reached the quarter final.
At 14-16 down, he was also 0-71 down in the frame, needing a snooker, unbelieveable come back.
In the q/f, he became the 3rd ever player in crucible history to get 3 consecutive 100+ frame breaks, and five 100+ breaks in one match.
His only problem now, is that his final apponent John Higgins has had more of a break.
He has been a revelation so far.
GOOD LUCK MARK XX

5 May, 2007 at 10:32 pm #269228Yes, emma, Good luck to Mark. He has shocked everyone so far, jst like Shaun Murphy did in 2005. Higgins is top class though, it should be a classic encounter.
6 May, 2007 at 12:03 am #269229at 14-16 down.. nearly out at 22-1 at sporting odds… i had a fiver on him… i just had this feeling
6 May, 2007 at 11:02 pm #269230Great bet Matty.
4-12 down after the first day of the final. I think Mark likes to be the underdog, he likes to fight back, and is good at pressuring higgins. Mark was clearly tierd after last night, he will be alot fresher tomorrow.
Whats the odds on Mark winning?
7 May, 2007 at 2:17 am #269231higgins is in a different league to murphy, no chance of a come back.. but i also won again on silva being the first goal scorer today,. 17-1 £100 return.. not a bad week, can retire at this rate

8 May, 2007 at 8:46 am #269234Breathtaking my a.rse.
Yes, fair play to the guy for getting back into the game, but there was only ever gonna be one winner.
8 May, 2007 at 9:13 am #269235yeah, i always knew higgins was too much of a world class player, ok he had one bad sessions, but he was’nt going to have two bad sessions… though at one point i had a feeling it might have gone on till 2am in the morning, and thats just one of selbys shots
