    King…

I think you and I still have many years left to live this pretty amazing life. Enjoy what is for today, as you never know what tomorrow will bring..

Logic and scientific study tells us our human body decomposes after 7 years under ground. Our bones remain.

I too have ponder what happens when I sleep and never wake up again. Do I stay in constant state of dream, blank state? Am I reborn with others…we will never know till happens..

For now I remain in the living, but when and if time comes and I do move from this world to next, and I see you, will shout out howdy. Let us have tea together, break out home made bread… xxx

i hope life on earth or whatever planet, will be more advanced than the humans we have on this earth, yes not all humans, but it seems a lot of humans have error/s what can effect other humans or just effect them self, physically or and mentally, but tbh even humans who dont seem to have error/s, might still have error/s, that are unknown yet maybe.

a lot of people get after-death experiences, when their heart stops and they are looking down on their body.

My gran said that she saw a girl dressed in white calling her. Apparently this is a common vision for the dying.

    *shrugs.

The people I know who are dead stay dead. If you pushed them, they didn’t come alive. Their bodies went cold.

One friend of mine – who then lived in Highgate, had a tough old boyfriend who lived in a boat off Cuba. She stayed with him – he was in his 70s (unlike me, let me assure Sarah) but she liked him. he told her that he was ready to die, and said he had poison secreted in a false tooth. He told the truth, too. She woke up one day to find his body in the cabin; he’d decided the time had come, and she wept for him.

When you die, unless you’re cremated, your body grows branches and shrubs. There’s some West Indian island where, on the day of the dead, they dig up their ancestors and dance with them before re-interring them. Weird photographs of people dancing with people-trees. It was in the Atlantic monthly some time in the late 1990s.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but when you’re dead, you’re dead. The notion that all living creatures have a soul and paradise awaits with worms, flies, rats and bats fluttering around as relatives peer through the haze saying welcome to heaven is too ridiculous to merit a discussion.

i think when someone dies they will be in like a dream state, untill they get born as someone else.

I am confused by the other thread on this, Scepticals comments in particular. If there is not an actual afterlife, reincarnation, ghosts, spirits, unearthly energy, call them/it what you like, then there is certainly no God. If and it’s a big, a God exists, then of course there remains the possibility that all the above could also exist. Although I can’t recall the exact % offhand, there is evidence most of the brain is not utilized and it is still unknown what the function serves. I would argue the world really is not as black and white as some of the posts appear to argue. I suspect in 5,000 years time today’s scientific knowledge will quite rightly be viewed as primitive.

Why is there no God if there is no afterlife??

I just say that I really have no idea about what happens after death.

Christians have different approaches. The Catholics think we go to heaven if we’ve been good (sorry, cosy) and to hell if we’ve been bad and to purgatory if we’ve sinned but not too much. I have read an account by the Anglican Nick Wright that we don’t go to heaven but that we just fall asleep..like in a rather long post-op coma??..and awake on judgement Day.

By far the most interesting person I’ve read on Death and what happens is the Catholic mystic, Adrienne von Speyr.

But ultimately I have to admit I just don’t know. I may wake up in a room with all the people I’ve hated and feared most in my life. Or in a room full of books I’ve not yet read to keep me occupied while the jury’s out. Or in a huge porno cinema with milky and Linda and my ex-girlfriend. Or in the Lake of Fire with Satan laughing away as he pushes his sharp fork up my backside.

Some swizzler called Robert Maxwell arranged for his Daily Mirror-acquired wealth to be used to bury him on the Mount of Olives, where you are the first to awake on Judgement Day. I think this is because it gave him a head start to run for it before all the people whose pensions he’d robbed woke up and came for him.
