We got to the Final of the UEFA Cup Final in 2003.
We got to the last 16 Champions League this season (Rangers didnt) before losing to Barca. No disgrace there.

Is Mighty the right adjective here ???

i think what the armchair rangers supporters seem to forget, when Walter Smith was re-employed as the Rangers Manager, this seaon was more to do with rebuilding the team, towhich they won 2 cups, where runners-up in the Uefa Cup n Scottish Prem. so think they achieved well,

BM, did u go to the game on sunday for test. 4. phil O’donnel my m8 went was a guid game he said with Larson etc… or are you also a ARMCHAIR supporter…?? talk a guid game…??

    #337324

No I didnt go to the game on Sunday. I had other things on if that’s OK with you? Sheesh.

I aint an Armchair Supporter, but I dont see what’s wrong with being an Armchair Supporter these days. 20 years ago if someone had a go that you that you were an Armchair Supporter it was probably because if you hadnt been at the Game you wouldn’t have seen it in those 5 live games a season days.
These days Armchair Supporter’s can see every game their team plays on TV or the Net, and probably see the game far clearer than the person who’s sitting at the back of the Stand.
Plus they can pi.ssed in the comfort of their own home.
I dont see that their opinion is any less valid. Maybe they live abroad. Maybe they’re busy on Matchday’s. Maybe they just dont have the inclanation to go, and like to watch their team in the comfort of their own home or in the Pub. If they buy the Kits, DVD’s, Merchandise etc they are still pumping money into their clubs. They might get along to the odd game, and what’s wrong with that?

300,000 Rangers Supporters in Manchester. That’s 250,000 Armchair Supporters ennit?

I dislike the term “armchair supporter”.

    Why?

Because even if I could afford a season ticket I wouldnt buy one as I have family commitments that would make it useless.

It dont mean I love my team any less.
