whats your computer named your external drive
click start …my computer .. then you should be able to find and drag your music folder over to the external hard drive (left click but dont reease mouse button and drag)

well you could open the external hard drive in my computer right click then then.. new….. folder… then name that folder and drag your music to there or just right click on your existing music folder then click on copy and paste it into the external hard drive (dont open the music folder just right click on it) Once your satisfied your music is copied over ok and you can find and play it from the external source then you can delete the tracks from your laptop hard drive
