depends on what new blood you’re looking for.

I assume it’s friends and chatmates that you want, so in the room ignore private messages and unpleasant chatters (they do exist there!) and chat to people openly in public, get to know them that way. Some good friends can be made that way. If you give them your credit card number and bank account details, you’ll find you have some very very good and interested friends, so don’t hand them out – or any personal details. And be prepared form some nasty snide attacks on you – just shrug your shoulders and ignore them.

There is a secret to chat – not to care.

Here on the boards, you’re welcome to post whatever takes your fancy, serious or not, and answer replies, if they come. Or you can reply to posts which arouse your interest.,

If you like someone, add them as a friend. if you find they’re not such a good friend, you can defriend them.

I  have a very small circle of friends myself, and I’m looking for more good ones. I don’t have children, and I used to be a teacher so I’m interested in them. I’m a certified professional medical coder, and I love dogs. This is the first time I’ve ever been in a chat room, so I’m a trifle nervous.

I adore salt and vinegar flavored crisps! (In the United States we call them potato chips.) That’s my favorite flavor.
