From April 1st, prescriptions are to be free in Wales, but will rise by 20p in England to £6.85 per item. If you live in Scotland, then Cancer or Alzheimer’s treatment is free, but in England, payments rise. Just how much longer do the politicians think they can treat us this way?

The Barnett Formula diverts about £8bn of extra public expenditure to Scotland each year, giving the Scots a subsidy averaging £30 per person per week. This has meant, for example, the availablity of prescription drugs and surgical procedures that are unavailable in England on grounds of cost.

What makes Wales and Scotland different to England? Could it be that Scotland has its own parliament and Wales has its assembly? Surely its time for England to have its own Parliament – along with its fair share of the £8bn for us in our own public services?

May 3rd, YOU decide YOUR future.
