New Zealand’s in a panic over one new case of covid and lockdown for 3 days.
Now you’d think with only 5 million people the country would be fully vaccinated by now …. but there not. With only 848K fully vaccinated and 17% receiving there first jab well behind the rest of the world.
Did Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern think it wouldn’t get in or Kiwi’s were born with covid immunity? If New Zealand was left off world maps covid would find it?
This is total incompetence at the highest level.

Doa in reply to your coment about our latest out break.if i recall yous uk had worlds highest death rate i dont think you should be chucking off at us kiwis when boris lost control of covid and if my memorey serves me right nearly died from it.I known which country has better record of the out come covid so far, just saying.

The UK got nothing to do with New Zealand piss poor vaccination rate.
New Zealand intake of refugees from Afghanistan will increase risk of an outbreak. Pressure from the Americans means New Zealand will take far more than the 37 claimed by Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern.
With the demand for covid vaccinates starting to tail off due to other countries starting there programs in Jan 2021, there no shortages. Was Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern hoping to pick up the “left over vaccinates” at a discount? Is Ardern waiting for the sales?
New Zealand’s response to the current pandemic is a joke. Isolationism policy’s never work and only delay the inevitable.

It has plenty to do with it doa u and land not in position to comment judge others with your appalling high death rate both trump and boris took it s big joke both got it it nearly died from it, and if it hadnt been for kiwi nurse that saved boris from near death he wouldnt be alive today. So with both your countries with appalling results you shouldnt be judgeing others.
66.65 million live in the UK
328.2 million live in the USA
4.917 million live in NZ
In one day in March the UK vaccinated 844k people.
At the same time the USA were doing 4 million per day.
Now lets look at NZ
So if NZ took the same pro active steps as the UK & USA…. you’d all be fully vaccinated by now. Looks to me like Jacinda Ardern really couldn’t be azz. How’s it feel knowing the Americans vaccinated almost New Zealand whole population in one day?

Yes that may be so but doesnt change the fact that both you and land had one the highest death rate in the world while boris went on hoilday and trump went n played golf while ppl were on there last legs garsping for there last breath so once again with apppaling records of deaths of covid which both of you have it woes be tide both of yous to point the finger at us kiwis but i sujest with shocking record both of yous have you should be last ones topoint the finger at any one else with very low death rate.
Plus both of you n land countries cant beat the horse n carters of steptoe n son , heaven help us if yous get us involved in another dust up.If you keep doing vietnam next dust up you both cause uill have no mates to come to your aid

Even better those vaccines we all told would help..look into time period effectiveness. Now discussion of boosters..pharmaceutical companies doing great.
No matter who did more where..no matter.
People are being taken into Countries not vaccinated and with covid too. We have 10 times more issues as we also have those crossing borders by the thousands weekly with covid being spread. I say all those from Afghanistan coming here should be given first shot atleast on entry into planes and those from the borders as well. Same for other Countries..give them a vaccine first before dropping off in ANY Country.

All you can say from that is…. 3,000 cases in New Zealand isn’t enough information to draw a comparison with the rest of the world on covid death rates.
Jacinda Ardern covid plan is doom to fail. Low vaccination numbers & a feeling of invincibility can only lead to disaster. Once New Zealand reopens its boarders covid cases will increase along with the death rate.
With new covid variants emerging and current vaccines losing there effectiveness, New Zealand sitting on a ticking covid time bomb. There no real herd immunity in New Zealand and a new covid strain will devastate the whole country.
