At last, Keegan picks up his first win. I thought the second half performance against Birmingham was good and offered a glimmer of hope.
Now we’ll just have to wait and see if they can be consistent enough to avoid the relegation battle.

It’s funny, I remember at the start of the season watching MOTD in the canteen at work and the general view was ‘Actually, that’s not a bad looking team’
Just goes to show :lol:
(I should also point out that it was said purely from looking at the line ups and not the actual performance itself)
The Landlord of the White Horse pub near here was going up to Newcastle to that game. He will be over the moon that they won. Particularly the day after Foggy died.
Just been to the game newcastle should of been 4 up at half time ……..fulham were woeful worst team ive seen all season by a long shot defence was a bloody shambles relegated without doubt toon toon black and white army :lol:

i still think newcastle were a better outfit under big sam.i myself am a west ham fan and was at the game where newcastle beat us 3-1 and i just think newcastle have played nowhere near that good under “king” kev
Yep, Big Sam wasn’t doing a much worse job than some of those who tried and failed and were given more time before him.
I think his downfall was purely the fact that he wasn’t Mike Ashley’s choice as manager. Keegan will be given time, even though I think he should have made some moves in January – you don’t have to spend a lot to get a lot.
Different leagues and different class of players I know – but Walter Smith really steadied the ship at Rangers when he brought in Weir and Ugo Eghienglish bloke.
