to reach peak fitness is one thing, i think it won’t take rooney long to reach that peak to be honest, but he does needs games, and to get sharpness, but to be fair.. since being injured, he has’nt played that many games less, then say somone like owen..
i think he will play some part in the last two group games.. he might even play 30 mins in both games.. come june 24th/25th, i can see him starting.. like i said.. sven has nothing to lose, and he will take the gamble
i beleive still with a broken foot, he was still able to do some sort of fitness training anyway? and i still beleive an 80% fit rooney, is a better option then a 100% fit crouch when playing the bigger teams
